Following are the steps involved in the certification process
  • Step One: understand the Scrum framework and lifecycle.
  • Step Two: attend the two-day CSM training course conducted by a certified trainer.
  • Step Three: pass the CSM online test conducted by Scrum Alliance.
  • To pass the test, you will need to take the 50 question CSM test and answer 37 out of the 50 questions correctly within the 60-minute time limit.
  • Once you pass the exam, you will need to submit a license agreement to the Scrum Alliance for acceptance, and a membership profile must be completed.
  • The online CSM exam can be taken within 14 days from the day you complete your training course and receive links to the online exam.
  • CSM certification is valid for three years.
  • If you fail the CSM exam in your first attempt, you can retake it immediately at no cost.
  • If you fail the exam in your first attempt, the second will be automatically activated in your Scrum Alliance account.
  • Upon passing the exam, you will receive the certificate within five business days.

How long is my PMI-ACP® credential valid?

With the exception of the CAPM® credential, all those who earn a PMI® certification must actively maintain their certifications through participation in the CCR (Continuing Certification Requirements) Program and renewal of their certifications every 3 years. You can take part in professional development and learning activities to earn Professional Development Units (PDUs), thus fulfilling the continuing certification requirements and ultimately growing and developing as a practitioner.

To maintain your PMI-ACP® certification, you must earn and record 30 PDUs every 3 years.

What is the ACP® course exam fee conducted by PMI®?

How many questions are there in the exam? How much time do I get?

The PMI-ACP® exam is a computer-based exam conducted in the prometric centers. The exam has 120 multiple choice questions and each question has exactly one correct answer. You will get three hours to answer these questions. Out of the120 questions, 20 questions are pre-test questions. They are randomly placed throughout the exam and are used for research purposes. These questions are not evaluated while computing the exam results. You will be evaluated only on the basis of 100 questions.
